Met at Kaya’s House of Repose (S4). He represents Amnian merchants and “trades in information”. He was taken in by Quill’s act as a “very famous scholar” (or at least didn’t want to look ignorant).
His problem:
- Three nights before Day 1, his heavily guarded courier (a Chultan man of ordinary build) was ambushed outside the walls “near the old city, by the Tiriki Anchorage”.
- The courier and his ledgers of sensitive diplomatic contracts vanished.
- The authorities blame robbers or undead. Alistair suspects the Ytepka Society and/or Merchant Prince Zhanthi.
